“What happens when there is a power interruption? I have had two other brands of smart plug and when the power goes out, the plugs lose WiFi connectivity and become "local only". I have to do a factory reset. After a few times they refuse to connect. Thank”

I haven't had to deal with this yet on this wifi plug, but I have the same brand light bulbs and when they go off they still hold the information I need to stay connected. Another cool thing is it syncs with Google. You have to setup your account on GE's Cync first but after that Google makes it simple to integrate it into your network.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.They should reconnect once the firmware has been programmed even if the power goes out the programming should remain unless you have several power outages in a consistent fashion which would reset the unit

Typically the plug will return to its last state but if offline for too long it may disconnect and need to be factory reset.
