Yes, most size machine washable comforters will wash properly in our front load washers as long as the comforter fits behind the washer tub gasket and is not stuffed into the tub tightly. Since the front load models do not have the agitator that sticks up through middle of the wash basket, there is increased space for larger loads compared to a top load washer.
