I always get unlocked phones (I tend to move carriers based on price) and I have not had a problem with any Pixel in this regard. I currently have an unlocked Pixel 7 on Google Fi (on the T-Mobile network), a Pixel 4 on AT&T, and an unlocked iPhone 13 Mini on Verizon. AT&T and Verizon have a provisioning process to bring your phone on to their networks (so you just can't slap in the SIM card - you have to contact them), but T-Mobile takes most unlocked phones that have their SIM. Your carrier will usually charge you a nominal fee for the SIM card. However, this phone will take an eSIM, so you have that option which is usually free.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's usually just a matter of putting your sim card into the device. I don't believe any of the wireless companies charge you for that unless it involves getting a new SIM card or something to that effect. You'd probably want to check with your carrier though. The phone has a nano SIM slot. If your current one has a nano SIM card it should just be a matter of putting it into the unlocked device and be plug and play without having to involve your carrier.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on your carrier. Some have activation charges when bringing an unlocked phone. Also, check to make sure the phone uses the 5G bands that your carrier does or else it won't be compatible.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Advantage is your not tied to the carrier and can leave and go to another at anytime and faster updates
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The advantage of having an unlocked phone is that it'll work for any carrier with no problems at all and no you wont get charged extra for having an unlocked phone. I myself have the pixel 7 unlocked and I'm using it on T-Mobile so you shouldn't get charged extra at all. If i didn't than you shouldn't either.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I prefer unlocked so I'm not tied down to my carrier. No cost to add to Verizon, just insert sim and go.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will not cost extra to add our own carrier
