  • QuestionIs there an advantage in choosing an unlocked phone to bring to my existing carrier over going to the carrier directly? Initially it looks as if it's $100 cheaper but what will the cost be to add it to my existing carrier?

    Asked by query.

    • Answer I always get unlocked phones (I tend to move carriers based on price) and I have not had a problem with any Pixel in this regard. I currently have an unlocked Pixel 7 on Google Fi (on the T-Mobile network), a Pixel 4 on AT&T, and an unlocked iPhone 13 Mini on Verizon. AT&T and Verizon have a provisioning process to bring your phone on to their networks (so you just can't slap in the SIM card - you have to contact them), but T-Mobile takes most unlocked phones that have their SIM. Your carrier will usually charge you a nominal fee for the SIM card. However, this phone will take an eSIM, so you have that option which is usually free.

  • QuestionWill this be a good upgrade from a oneplus 7?

    Asked by Dyevest.

    • Answer I upgraded from a 7T and am really happy with it. The 5G, wireless charging, and a camera that blows OnePlus out of the water are great. I do miss the Warp charging, but this one does well enough with a 30 watt charger or set it one a wireless pad on a desk (I do at work)

  • QuestionIs this unlocked Pixel 7 a Model GQML3 or a Model GVU6C?

    Asked by FuturePixelUser.

    • Answer GVU6C, so it does not have the ultra wideband capabilities that come in the Verizon and AT&T locked versions. Still has very serviceable low and mid-range bands that can deliver fast speeds nonetheless.
