I want to view this on my ipad while on vacation but also want it stored to an sd card and would like it to only record when there is sound or motion is this possible? null

There is not a place for an sd card on the outdoor guardzilla. I wanted to use it to monitor in an area where there was no electric power. Unless you purchase the cloud service, it sends a silent snip to the monitoring device urging you to buy the cloud service to get the sound. I had it in my garage for testing, and it kept being triggered by my hot water heater starting a cycle. Hope this helps

Yes, you can arm the camera to record motion and to notify you via text message when motion is detected. You will be able to view on your phone.
