I honestly have no idea. I got mine about a month ago and installed a firmware update but have no such issue. Sounds like a warranty issue. Mine is not without the flaws as well. When watching streaming box movies, this TV will sometimes randomly turn off by itself. Does not happen very often but I had this box connected to the TCL TV and never experienced this issue.
