The Google Home has a better speaker but for just ambience and overall for its size it is really good. Your not buying a stereo but it was great for me from Classical to modern and just picking a song or artist is more convenient than plugging in or blue tooth for my listening needs. If your looking for more speaker power go with the Google Max it is more powerful and can add to your system making a full stereo listening.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It gets pretty loud, especially for it's size, but as you reach max volume it looses some of it's crispness. I would rate it as a solid 6 out of 10 for all the speakers I have used. I have a JBL clip 2, which is right around the same size as a Google home mini. The sound coming from my clip 2 is just a good as the Google home mini, if not a little better.
