I think it would be tricky in a hopper window -there is a plate/metal piece that the hose attaches to once you've secured the plate/metal piece and I'm not sure it work on that. IN an old building I rented with transoms we put a window mount (small unit) with a little bracing and unhooking the window of the transom but ?? it was a little makeshift looking.
