- Answer Most definitely you don't want the humidity back into your household air. This is the reason that there is a clothes dryer style exhaust through a window.

- Answer I have seen portable A/C's set up the way you are talking about in resort guest rooms. The hose was connected to something that resembled a dryer duct/vent that went through the wall to the outside. The hose on this model is for air only, the water is contained in the unit. I have used mine for over a month and haven't had to manually empty it yet.

- Answer I think it would be tricky in a hopper window -there is a plate/metal piece that the hose attaches to once you've secured the plate/metal piece and I'm not sure it work on that. IN an old building I rented with transoms we put a window mount (small unit) with a little bracing and unhooking the window of the transom but ?? it was a little makeshift looking.

- Answer This unit needs to be vented out through an exhaust hose through a window for the hot air to be let out. If you do not have the right windows, you can also vent the unit through a sliding glass door . Sliding glass door kits are available for sale separately and not include with the unit. - Answer Hi, we recommend using our portable air conditioners in enclosed spaces which are insulated, for optimal cooling efficiencies. These units also need to be vented outside through an exhaust hose. This particular model can cool a space up to 700 sq. ft. So if the screened porch meets all the necessary requirements, then you can definitely use this unit in the said space. - Answer No. Not without popping out the window case and replacing it with a plywood or Plexiglas. For the amount of cooling this unit does and the price it is, its not worth going to that much trouble. If you are going to remove the crank window to accommodate an upright air conditioner, in my opinion you would be better off installing a window unit since you lost the advantage of wheeling this from room to room, and upright air conditioners are not very efficient anyways.
