A:AnswerI would actually call Honeywell customer service on that one...it probably does but I don't use that feature....it works great with the apps though from both Apple and Android. Easy to program, easy to use and they look great. I think this is one of the few with the display on all the time so you can see the temperature from across a large room.

A:AnswerYes, it will work on a single stage heating and cooling system. The main concern is if you have an older unit, it may only use a 4 wire cable and for this thermostat, using a 5 wire cable is the correct way for the installation. The 5 wire cable has an extra wire called the c-wire and is basically a ground for the electronic circuitry inside the thermostat.
My inside HVAC unit had a C terminal on the circuit board and I was able to run a new cable and connect all 5 wires to the thermostat.
A:AnswerYou'll need a C or Common wire one way or another. Most systems will have one, but if you don't,
most thermostat wire bundles have an unused wire which your HVAC Tech can use to power the thermostat.
This is a fine device in my judgement,; it does however need a power source.
A:AnswerHi Aardvark! Thank you for reaching us. This thermostat its compatible with Gas Furnace/Oil Furnace/Electric Furnace with Air Conditioning (24-volt heating and conditioning systems). We suggest to label the wires on the old thermostat before disconnecting them as we don't follow color code.
