“Does this vacuum work on Silkstrand Carpet? We had silkstrand carpet installed and then we had a Dyson. The Dyson would not push on the silk strand carpet. Can you confirm if Hoover will?”

It does our and does a wonderful job. It has an option of also turning the brush (the rotating cleaning one) off so you can also do bare floors without having the dirt just thrown behind you. It is VERY easy to maneuver and actually seems to be self propelled. VERY little effort if any when it comes to cleaning now. Best Buy has a wonderful return policy and protection policy. The worst that can happen is you don't like it and you can return it for a full refund, but I doubt you will do that. You'll probably love it. Honestly the features that this vacuum has is really mind blowing. You can wash everything on it inducing the filter, you can remove the canister and make it portable for even using for your vehicle if you would like. I would definitely give this a try!

The Air Lift Deluxe may be a bit difficult to push. To be completely sure, we suggest checking with the manufacturer of your carpets to see what Hoover they'd recommend.
