Yes, this laptop will be perfect for college. It runs on Google Chrome browser, so you will have the native Google products available. You can still use Google Docs for items like spreadsheets, word documents, presentations. You just won't be able to run Microsoft software on this computer. You'll have access to Google Drive for document storage in addition to your Files folder. I used to email presentations to myself or save under Google Docs.
