“can you buy a laptop without S Mode or is it standard on all laptop now so that i do not have the nasal of removing it and do thy still sell new laptop with a Ethernet ports? and no i do not want to have to spend more money on a adapter”

There are plenty of laptops available that do not have Windows in S Mode. Although they're becoming less common, you can still get a laptop with a built-in Ethernet port.
