No it does not. Mine is amazingly cold when in use.

If you are holding this laptop only on your lap with clothes or blanket, yes this laptop gets hot. I have a lap desk and foldable desks next to my seat to set the laptop on to allow breathability. Setting this only on one's lap will cause heat retention.
