A:AnswerAs with your "earlier question", I assume this is still about the keyboard backlight (not the computer). Set the brightness all the way down to zero to--effectively--turn off the backlight. There's no ambient light brightness sensor (as with a smartphone display) that I'm aware of for the keyboard backlight.
(And to correct my earlier estimate from my first answer since we can't edit our answers here: the backlight "timeout to off" is about 30 seconds (not "a minute or so" as I guesstimated before).)
A:AnswerJust as on a Windows laptop, you can adjust the resolution of each of multiple monitors separately. Limitation of total monitors is three, and within that are limitations on the maximum resolutions that you can drive through the USB-C port. This is a function of the Intel UHD 620 integrated graphics built into the Core i3 8130U processor.
For driving a single external/extended monitor at 4K, you're good, as long as your USB-C to DisplayPort adapter can handle 4K.
A:AnswerYes, the HP x360 14 Chromebook supports full 802.11ac which includes both 2.4GHz and 5Ghz WiFi. These standards have been around over 5 years. It would be unusual to find a new laptop of any kind that would not support 802.11ac.
A:AnswerIt is often difficult to find hard shell cases for most laptops as there are so many different models and configurations. You may not be able to find one available or possibly from a third party.
A:AnswerNo, it does not have a hdmi port. It does have 2 usb-c ports and I know you can get usb-c hubs that have hdmi out. usb-c is becoming the standard connection for everything, power, video, and peripherals. One of the nice features of this chromebook is that it has 2 usb-c ports.
A:AnswerYes. There are probably several ways, but I've always used the USB port and connected it to my camera. It only takes a few seconds and the files are transferred.
A:AnswerThis is pretty new model, so it took time to produce and start selling hard shells. I contacted IPearl-Inc company, which sells mCover products, and requested shell for this model.
They just listed it on Amazon, their model: mCover-HP-CX360-14C-CA-CLEAR
Product description: mCover Hard Shell Case for late-2020 14" HP Chromebook X360 14C-caxxxx Series laptops (NOT Compatible with Other HP Chromebook & Windows laptops) (Clear)
Specifically listed this chromebook: Designed to perfectly fit the 2020 14-inch HP Chromebook X360 14C-CA0000 models ( like X360 14C-ca0053dx series, etc )
And finally the link, not sure, if it will be posted on final review: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08QZNQYYG?th=1
I am buying those now for my kids' two chromebooks!
A:AnswerYes, you can use any apps from the Google Play store, including Minecraft and Roblox apps (but not the full Windows versions). And yes, you can use some versions of Microsoft Office. Chromebooks use Google equivalents such as Google Docs and Google Sheets, but are also capable of using the Google Play app versions of Microsoft Office programs or the full versions of Office 365.
