Changes to the system, like converting out of S Mode may make you more vulnerable, however, the Windows Defender Security Center is excellent protection without the need to purchase another anti-virus app, and it's included with your computer. We would suggest running a scan to see if the reported viruses are real, or a ploy. If Windows Defender reveals that there is indeed a virus, it will advise what you should do next.
