Windows in S Mode greatly decreases the chance of installing malicious software because downloads can only originate from the Microsoft Store, and the mandated browser is Microsoft Edge. Changes to the system, like converting out of S Mode may make you more vulnerable, however, the Windows Defender Security Center is excellent protection without the need to purchase another anti-virus app, and it's included with your computer. We would suggest running a scan to see if the reported viruses are real, or a ploy. If Windows Defender reveals that there is indeed a virus, it will advise what you should do next.
