“I just purchased this printer from BB Hurst in yesterday. I cannot figure out how to scan. I understand the copying method. Please advise how to scan only. I need to scan a certificate and upload it either to my flash drive or laptop.”

Make sure you have the full featured software from 123.HP.com and from that software you should be able to scan to your computer.
