Check your printer settings. When you print photos you want the best quality. You might be set to "draft", which tends to break up the quality of the image.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not experienced this issue and without seeing the problem it's hard to say. Try rotating the image 90 degrees if it will fit on the glass and re-scan the image. If the lines persist in the same direction on the image as before, then it might be a poor image. If the lines rotate with the image, then perhaps the printer needs ink or the scanner is not functioning properly. Try printing on photo paper. If you are just using plain white paper, photos will not look very good. Can also call HP support. Best to do that before the warranty runs out on the printer. Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sometimes the problem with lines running across an image is due to the printheads not being properly aligned. This usually happens after inserting new cartridges. Try following your printer's instructions on printhead cleaning and alignment. It's a pretty simple procedure and involves printing a preset manufacturer's page. Check your user manual for details on this procedure. Over the years, doing the above has nearly always solved the unwanted line spacing in printing photographs or text.
