Go to the HP website and register for it, but, I believe, it only works with the wifi mode of operation, not USB. I hope this helps.

HP automatically will mail out replacements if the ink levels are low enough. Be sure to cancel before that. Monitor the levels on the front display panel by touching Setup (gear wheel) > Ink Information. For sure, use up most of the ink in the current cartridges BEFORE YOU CANCEL; because they become disabled if not subscribed. Have replacements on hand before you cancel (so you can use the printer). The Envy 5660 uses HP 62 (both B&W and tricolor). Use only original HP ink to avoid problems. Walmart is the least expensive.
