Yes, you can add a 2TB hard drive to this unit. There is an available bay, and the PSU can handle the additional power required. If you're looking at adding additional hardware (like a screaming fast video card), you'll probably want to also upgrade the power supply unit.

The PSU has HP proprietary dimensions and cannot be upgraded with more wattage on your own. Although there is a 16-lane PCIe slot for a dedicated GPU, anything more powerful than a low wattage consuming GT 1030 graphics card (which even HP doesn't recommend using because Nvidia's site recommends a minimum of 300 watts) will most likely overload your system. Take it from someone who learned this the hard way after I purchased this system. Now, to answer your question. Yes, it will handle a 2TB hard drive. I currently have both a 2TB hard drive and a GT 1030 card installed on mine, and I haven't had any issues so far. Just remember that hardware form factors are thrown out the window with this system if you want to upgrade anything...
