• You have to gently pry the lid off the mouse. The whole top. If you start at the back, a letter opener or butter knife would do the job without effort.

• Slide cover off to insert batteries by placing mouse in one hand holding longways with middle finger and thumb. Top will pop up. Insert 2 AA batteries, replace cover and turn the switch on the bottom until you see green. Hope this helps.
