• Purchase the LG SLIM LG - 8x External Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW SuperMulti Blade drive. It is fast, works well with the Envy and also it almost cero noise. My friend told me about it and I went to the store to purchase. I tried many times downloading software and also listening to my cds and it really worked well and almost not noise at all.

• You can easily attached a CD/DVD player using a USB connector. I have installed programs using my external LG drive.

• Yes, you can use an external CD/DVD player to it via a USB port. They sell small portable ones quite inexpensively these days.
