I went to Best Buy looking for a laptop with 3 requirements: i5 7000U or better processor, at least 8GB RAM & 500GB memory, and it had to be lightweight. The HP Envy x360 has an i5 7200U processor (hurry with the m series processors intel!), 12GB RAM, 1TB memory , and weighs 4.6 lb (a pound more than I desired, oh well). And price was half of comparable Apple (with 12" monitor, HP has 15.7"). Good deal? Well yeah...

slick design one of the best in the market as far as Im concerned. I'm loving the feel of the keyboard and I like how the back key lights work. Some unit I tested the light would go off after 2 seconds this one stays when it's on. I also love that it's slim and light and the finish is so smooth. Down side screen breaks very easily, fragile glass screen make sure to purchase your warranty.Sound is not too good either compare to my old cheaper Hp. But this one can connect to bluetooth I guess that's y the sound is not too loud.

The mute is stuck on and I have tried everything I could find online to fix it, but to no avail. Otherwise this would be a five star laptop. I love all of its features, perfect for my needs as a full time college student and part time editor remotely working in marketing. But that darn mute button prevents me from joining online work conferences, listening to music or hearing notifications when not focused on my screen. Not to mention I cannot enjoy Netflix. I've only had it for 2 weeks, I hope nothing else goes wrong with it. My daughter has had hers over a year and hers is still working perfectly. Easily accommodates several apps I use for work and school. *ok, I went to take a picture of the laptop with the mute key light on, but for some reason it randomly turned off and the volume is working. :) yay. But hope it doesn't happen again... left it on 4 stars bc it should work properly when you turn the volume up or press the mute key again.

time required to turn on and switch to different apps is far ahead of my last laptop. Lightweight sleek looking and easy to keep clean.

It's a great laptop, I use the tablet mode a lot. It's super light which I love, and the sound quality of the speakers is quite good. This is my first HP laptop and I must say I was pleased with my choice.

I love my new laptop especially the big screen. Just what I needed.

I went to the store trying yo get the best option of laptop to work as student project after talking with some employees they recommended me this laptop, but it wasn't good at all. It star showing me problem in the first day that I bought it and its a lit of bit slow

I love this laptop so far, HP finally has got things right. First off I immediately replaced the 1tb hard drive for a Solid State drive and I recommend everyone else do the same. This makes the laptop even faster, it's pretty easy to do. Note: There are 2 screws under the back 2 feet for anyone that goes to do it. Screen is bright and crisp, full HD. Love the backlit keyboard, the bang and olufsen speakers are amazing, didn't expect such great sound quality from a laptop. The screen goes all the way around flat to be used as a tablet with the touchscreen which is a nice feature. This laptop has 2 USB 3.0 ports, 1 USB Type C port, HDMI, headphone/mic jack, and built in sd card reader. Another thing I like about HPs is they still have indicator lights, there is a power on light, hard drive activity light, AND a light that turns orange when the battery is charging and white when it's done, this is VERY helpful and many other brands like Dell, Lenovo, and ASUS don't have any of these indicator lights anymore. Battery life will depend on what you are doing of course and screen brightness but I get over 5 hours with average use. Overall great laptop and I highly recommend.

After buying a cheap $499 computer I learned my lesson. I ended up having to return it and buy this laptop! I will say that I had to return my first one because my touch screen was acting crazy upon opening it...but...my second one has worked great. What I love: - It's fast. Intel i5 7th generation is the newest generation (some of the other big box retailers sell the 6th generation computers). - Big hard drive! - Didn't think I'd use the touch screen but I do....a lot. - Sound is great. When you flip the screen there are speakers on the other side, too! - Keys are quiet! - Mouse is quick/easy to use. - Keyboard lights up when you need it too. - I multi-task and it has been great. - Has wireless AC card (fastest wireless card to surf the net)...the cheaper models of computers don't have it...be careful! - Clear Screen. - Windows 10 start-up men is customizable. A lot of people said they don't like it because the start-up menu feels like an advertisement. I just right clicked on the things I didn't want and unpinned it from the start up menu. No more advertisements for me! - Battery life seems to go a long time. I don't have the keys lit up all the time and dim the screen which helps. After feeling discouraged from all the reviews and people not finding nice things to say about most EVERY computer...I have really no complaints with this computer. I've waited to write a review until I was sure nothing major would happen but so far it's been a great computer for multi-tasking and surfing the internet. Works great with my onedrive account. Note that this computer does not have a DVD drive and only has 2 USB outlets. If you needed more than 2 usb outlets you could always buy a USB outlet extender. We download everything these days.

I was still working on a laptop with XP and needed to upgrade to Windows 10. After listening to my needs, the salesperson directed me to this laptop. I have been working with the HP Envy for a month and am thrilled with this laptop every day. My old Dell ran very hot, glad to see that this one does not. The Envy is sleek and lightweight. Screen size is very good and keyboard laid out comfortably. Set up was simple, and being old school I was happy to find there was printed instructions. The keyboard is responsive to a very light touch. The touchscreen feature is a real bonus and works well. Battery lasts a long time. Personalization has been simple. Sound and screen quality are superior. Laptop is fast and Windows 10 is very intuitive.

In less then 2 weeks of use and my wife already has lines going across the screen. Very disappointed in this product. It was a Christmas gift for my wife and just hope the replacement doesn't do the same.

So easy to set up, sleek, fast, good battery, and efficient, works beautifully. I bought this laptop in December to replace an aging Toshiba, that did the job but I never really was in love with it. This HP blows every other laptop I have had away, period. Although I had to take the first one back due to hardware failure the second one was spot on. The price was good, and compared to the other models I was considering , I am very happy. Hopefully it continues to impress

This is my 3rd HP laptop - so I guess that means I'm hooked. I'm an interior designer and while most of my friends love their Macs, the software I use for designing keeps me on a PC. This HP Envy gives me everything I want and more. Great battery life, sleek design and not too heavy. I am in love with the 2-in-1 tablet feature! The fact that I am actually on the computer (in my design software) and using it in touch is amazing! Total game changer for me. I'm also excited to be able to stand it up when meeting with clients and going through things in presentation mode. My only concern at time of purchase, is how hinges will uphold a year or two down the road. My dad bought the larger model about four months and has hade nothing but great things to say.

My last 2 laptops were made by Sony and they both bit the dust prematurely. When I went into Best Buy, I had planned to get a very cheap 'get me by' laptop. This HP Envy caught my eye and I wasn't able to shake it. For everything that it does, it is very well priced. It has plenty of memory, has a sleek look, seems durable, it's fast, and I love the lighted keyboard! I had a great salesperson that pointed out it didn't have a disk drive and I appreciated that, was able to get an external for almost nothing. I'm still not used to using the touch screen or folding it to use as a tablet, but I'm sure that will be at the top of my 'like' list. I really don't see where you could go wrong with this HP.

Great laptop - big screen and enough power for regular computer use. Fast, functional and lightweight - good price

I am a returning college student taking online classes. This computer works great for that purpose. Fast processing speed, great features on the laptop. Some of my favorites are the light up keyboard and number pad. With what I am doing for school, a number pad was necessary and the light up keyboard is very helpful at night. My other computer didn't have it and it made things difficult in the evenings. The only thing that made me take away a star was to note that it does not have a CD/DVD drive. I know they are being phased out and a lot of downloads are just available online. However, there are times where I still need to use a CD and I can't. It does help with the weight of this laptop that there is no CD/DVD drive but I think it is a good thing to note that it does not have it since some people may still want that. I don't use the tablet feature often but I like it and the swiveling of the screen works well. Just remember to take it off tablet mode when you're done or your layout settings will be in tablet mode while on desktop mode and it can get confusing. I would recommend this to a friend.
