Excellent Value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted this laptop when I saw it advertised around back to school time. I figured it would go on sale for a better price if I held out until closer to Christmas time. I'm glad I did. As usual, I was right. I use this laptop for work stuff usually but it's awesome for just about everything I normally use any computer for. Due to the fact that I have back and neck issues, I find it much better to work from my recliner. I love the backlit keyboard as this feature allows me to work while the room lighting is dimmed down. This laptop is just the right size. It's not big and clunky and it's not so small that I can't read the screen (with my over 40 eyes). I only gave it 4 stars because it doesn't have a disc player/ CD-ROM etc. although, that does contribute to making it lighter weight. It's a fast enough that I don't experience any delays while working with my cloud services (awesomeness)! This is a solid product. Excellent Quality!!

Envy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The design, size, storage, and speed are very good. I have had some issues with the use of touch screen and keyboard at the same time but other than that it is fine. Will need to take it in to Geek Squad because screen freezes from time to time and the only way I can get it to work is to turn off the power and turn back on. Maybe not a Envy problem ? Maybe only mine?

Great desk top computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned quite a few computers, desktop and laptop, and this HP touch screen is the best. The price wasn't bad either. The screen size was perfect. I have not had any issues with it. The memory is good, I upload all the pictures and videos from my phone with no problem.

college student loves this computer!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this computer for our college student. She wanted a computer with a touch screen and really likes the ability to fold it back and use like a tablet. She set it up herself with no problems. Reasonably priced for the features it has on it.

Great laptop for a great price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am so glad we talked to the sales rep on all our options. He was very knowledgeable, patient and helped us make an informative decision. I've been very happy with this laptop. The touchscreen is a nice feature. I have used touchscreen with the laptop or flip the keyboard to make a 15 inch tablet. The monitor has a quality display, the keyboard is backlit and has 10 key, the battery stays charged longer than our Sony Vaio and it is lightweight. I thought I would miss a disk drive but my external hard drive works perfect for backups. Nice upgrade to our old laptop.

Great 2-in-1 PC!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to upgrade from a small screen notebook computer. I love the bigger (but not too big) screen and fast processor. The 2-in1 feature was a definite bonus! Very light weight and portable. One of the best features is the backlit keyboard. Have had other brands (Dell, Toshiba, HP). HP is definitely the best and probably the only brand I would ever purchase in the future. Definitely recommend this HP Envy, especially if you can get it on sale like I did - $649 was $150 off plus I received a $100 credit when I traded in my old computer!

Solid performer with minor flaws
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, I can't imagine buying this machine unless you intend to put a SSD in it. A mechanical hard drive in a convertible notebook makes no sense at all - this didn't affect my rating, since I knew it had a mechanical drive when I bought it. Switching it out took maybe ten minutes (obviously not including Windows media creation and reinstallation), and was fairly easy once I found a T4 screwdriver. Nothing had to be removed to get to the hard drive other than the bottom of the case itself, which was a pleasant surprise. Putting the SSD in had the expected results: it's fast, and I don't have to worry about causing problems by moving it. It's quieter, too, but unfortunately the fan seems to run almost from the moment the computer starts up. I've made the usual changes in Power Options, but nothing seems to make a difference. It's not extremely loud, but it is noticeable. If you're listening to music, watching videos, or playing games, you'll want headphones. The speakers are pretty good for a laptop, though. The screen is okay, but not particularly impressive. If you want vivid, high-contrast video, you wouldn't be watching it on a laptop screen anyway - you would hook it up to your TV, which is as simple as plugging in the cable and hitting Windows-P. It's not perfect, but if I wanted a completely silent machine with a gorgeous screen, I would have had to pay a lot more. I haven't had any problems in the first month of owning it, and it hasn't had trouble with any of the tasks I've needed it for. For what it cost, I'm happy with it.

Great product for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had HP computers and laptops in the past and continue to come back because of the quality and length of time they last. I found this laptop online first and it was on sale, which was a bonus. It has lots of memory and I'm finding the speed is quite fast. The best part, it's so light weight. I'm on a computer all day long for my business so taking this laptop with me will be a breeze when I have to travel. So far this is yet another great HP product.

Great flexibility, battery life, and for school
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did a LOT of research before arriving to the HP Envy 360. For the most part, I am satisfied. Things I like: -Silver color -keyboard: backlit (though I haven't had to use this feature yet since the keys are so light that the light from the screen is enough to see the keys); nice travel distance for keys. LOVE the key pad so i can use my alt functions. -functionality/flexibility: one of the main reasons i bought this is because it can turn from a laptop to tablet. my favorite is tent mode -quality of vids is amazing. very crisp and clear colors -battery life: quite decent actually. i could get about 8 hours when just working on microsoft office and watching some videos. i am a light user so i can't say anything about the batt usage for gamers Dislikes: -doesn't have a menu key. didn't realize it'd be such a big deal until i started typing and went to press it only to discover the keyboard doesn't have one. -material. feels pretty cheap compared to the laptop i had before (Lenovo ideapad u400). feels like it would scratch easily, just like youtube reviews have shown -camera: sucks! looks very blurry and pixley no matter what lighting -internet connectivity: once in a while it just disconnects. i have never had this problem with any of my other devices ever. -kaspersky (internet security) doesn't work very well with it -updates: whenever there's updates i install them right away. it says it's installing and i can see the process being made but when it's done, it says it still needs an update (maybe there's just a problem with my computer--though i tried contacting HP and they weren't much help). Mostly I'm going to use this laptop for school and watching some videos. So for that purpose, this laptop is a-okay.

Awesome computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this computer and am very happy with it. Great speed, graphics, space on the hard drive for my work. I love how it's an option to put on the lighted the keyboard or not based on pressing a button. I have broke several laptops because normally they are plastic but this one is sturdy and I can use it as a tablet if I want. No problems with any function. It's a great weight, not too light or heavy. Great computer for the price!

Pretty Cool
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Starts up fast like a tablet. The touch screen works well. I have not had issues with battery life but I haven't taken it on trips. My wife had to show me the left and right buttons for the touchpad mouse. There are not actually buttons but you can push the touchpad down on the bottom left and right (it flexes) to perform this operation. It would have been nice to have known coming out of the box. Anyway, the computer is thin and light.

Great laptop!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This HP is a huge improvement over my old 3-5 year old Win8 (converted to Win10). So far, so good. No issues at all. The 'touch screen' is Crystal clear and sharp, and has a back-lit keyboard. The touch screen is a nice plus because it's sometimes faster to just touch-and-move items or screens. Speaking of the back-lit keyboard: I do like having this option available, although I don't use it all the time because the 'light' is so bright. It could be that the light seems brighter because the keyboard is silver and kind of reflects. It might be better if the keys were black. Having the i5 and 12GB memory, everything is so much faster, including software updates, security scans, etc. I'm not a heavy-duty gamer, so I can't speak to whether this would be the best machine for those who are gamers.... but for 'normal' every day users (like me), this is a great purchase. Although this laptop was a little more expensive, it's not as expensive as many others, and it has a lot of really nice features that I've never had before. One of those features: decent speakers mounted on the top of the keyboard... so I don't have to wear earphones for decent sound. I settled on this one after looking at several less expensive laptops and noticing most have cheesy/bad speakers that are [stupidly] mounted on the bottom, which also adds to the bad by muffling the sound. This HP is lighter weight than my previous laptops as well... probably because there's no DVD drive. That was not an issue (for me) because I was able to buy a cheap external drive ($25).

Outstanding upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replacing a 6 year old laptop and am greatly pleased with the speed, smoothness and overall performance of the new machine. Having the touch screen is a great addition - can't believe I worked so long without such an innovation. Don't game so can't speak to those aspects of performance, but for work and general entertainment (streaming music and movies) I have nothing to complain about. Good value for dollar!!!

Great little 2-in-1
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used this machine for about a month now. It's a good laptop. It's got enough processor/memory to keep plenty of apps and browser tabs open. I love the backlit keyboard with the 10-key keypad; the keyboard has a good feel, too. Function keys toggle the backlit keyboard and mute/sound -- two requirements I had. One drawback is the location of the power button at the rear left side, which is where I tend to move the machine, so I tend to send it to sleep when moving it from my lap (it is, however, convenient to turn on/off in tablet or tent mode). The rocker for volume up/down is also on the left side in a very convenient location Converting from laptop to tent to tablet mode is seamless. The touch screen is responsive in every position. Note that the keyboard is disabled when you move to tent or tablet mode so you don't have to worry about mashing keys inadvertently. The sound isn't horrible, but a Bluetooth speaker is better. Note there is no CD/DVD drive, which is easily taken care of with an external drive. About the only issue I had was that the function keys default to hardware controls (brightness, backlight, sound, etc), and to use the function keys in the traditional mode (like F1 for help, F5 for refresh), one needs to hold the FN key while pressing. To reverse that so that F5 refreshes and FN+F5 toggles the backlight, one needs to make a change to the BIOS. Search HP's support for document c02035108 for detailed instructions. I've been quite pleased with this machine.
