• From a flash drive, it will print .jpg format, not .pdf. The laserjet series will print pdf

• No. The host usb can print photos from the following files: ; 1 Host USB (print from JPEG,TIFF,DPOF 1.1, Exif 2.3, PNG); With the HP smart app on your IOS or Android smart phone you can print almost any kind of document.
