Rachel, Thank you for asking about the future capabilities of this laptop. The memory is soldered to the board and is inaccessible and not upgradable. Additionally, the Pavilion lines only go up to 16GB of RAM. However, the Envy, Omen, and Spectre series laptops support 32GB configurations and even larger.
