This is my first laptop. I've never used a Mac so I don't know how it would compare. So far it's able to do everything I could do with my pc. The folks at Best Buy were very helpful answering my questions and directing me to this one. It's small enough to be portable but powerful, and it was in my price point (under $500 on sale). Nice 2-in-1 feature that lets you flip the screen and use it like a tablet or to watch videos. Good look finding what you need.

I purchased this computer for the same purpose and it works great and does exactly what I can do on the Mac. I wanted to work outside of Final Cut X and iMovie. I see no difference with all the other features and applications and taking the price into consideration, I would definitely recommend this product.
