“can you hook a touchscreen monitor to this and if so how at the time i bought this i also bought an acer 23in touchscreen and for the life of me i cant figure it out. i did buy a dvi adapter to try that and i got nothing. please help”

You need a computer with video controller with dvi output. analog to dvi adapter will not do anything.
