“How well does this computer run CAD or other 3-D modeling software”

I'm buying this for the same purpose. I have a non-touchscreen laptop with similar specs (albeit an older gen, lower processor speed i7) and I am able to run Modo, 3DS Max, Zbrush, Substance designer (a little slower than I'd like) and Autodesk Inventor with no problem. Also adobe AE and Premiere works well. The 8th gen i7 should give you even better performance. Just don't treat it like a gaming work station. The gpu WILL fall short in the gaming dept.
