A:Answer I'm sure its compatible, being it already will come with an NVME SSD.
The question is, whether it's necessary. There's no data on the model number, brand, or speed of the SSD that comes stock with this new 8th gen i7 machine. I even downloaded the hardware maintenance manual and there are part numbers for all the sizes of SSD available in this new unit, but even going to the HP Parts Depot and putting the number in, it doesn't show a photo of it or tell anything else about it other than the size which you already know. So we'll see what shows up. If they are shipping with Samsung sm961 drives, then there's no need to upgrade it unless you need a larger size.
Please... If someone actually has one of the new 8th generation machines, or even has one in their store, go into device manager and list the model number it shows for the installed SSD.
