Depends on what you are doing with the computer. If you do video editing, demanding (from a hardware perspective) games or lots of complex photoshop work then it may be worth the wait for the improved speed of the GPU and CPU. If not, no reason to wait.

Although the 8550U has a lower frequency initially it amps itself up to I think like 4 GHz under load AND it has 4 cores! 7550u is only a 2 core processor. So you may want to wait if hyper threading is in your future. Much is running mainly on single core performance but more and more is starting to take advantage of hyperthreading. Find out what you'll be doing on it and decided it those processes will benefit from hyperthreading or not
