I use a Dell USB-C dock port and it charges the laptop and connects an eternal monitor and peripherals. Only thing is I had to go deep into display settings and select the correct Hz for the monitor. After that, works seamlessly. I imagine an HP dock would work at least as well. Thunderbolt should be able to handle two monitors no problem, you can check thunderbolt specs online.
