“Speakers for Inspirion Desktop I just purchased a Dell Inspirion 3646 desktop. Can someone recommend speakers that I could use. I thought the speakers were already installed or are they just installed in laptops.”

Desktops typically don't have speakers. You should be able to plug basically any computer speakers into your computer. I like the Bose speakers but they are a little pricey.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Most desktops do not come with speakers, you have to buy them separate. I got my Insignia speakers at Best Buy for $10.00. Sounds cheap but so far they have worked just fine. Of course you get what you pay for, so they will not sound like a high quality speaker.

Please try again later.You can purchase a monitor with speakers installed and spend a small fortune, or just get the Insignia 2.0 Stereo speakers and simply plug them into the back of your Dell. I bought these for an HP I have and the sound is great. Actually going to buy more for the office. Good luck and hope this helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Desktops don't normally have built in speakers except that little alarm you might occasionally hear. Yes these speakers will work. In fact any computer speaker system will work. Quality wise, you pay for what you get.

The computer volume can be adjusted as well as the speakers so you can have the volume really high if you'd like. With the headphone jack on the front of one speaker, you can have private time as well. I currently use these at work and love them.
