QuestionDoes this have a adapter for older drives? I have an almost 20 year old drive that all the connectors on the outside including the power connection. I have used it for new drives with no problem.

- Answer This 2-bay docking station is basically just like buying an enclosed extra storage drive that is one enclosure that plugs into your computer. The only difference and a GOOD one is it is VERY easy to swap drives both in and out without a screwdriver needed to open and close the AIO design, if it is even possible to open some of them.

QuestionI know I have working hard rive. I place it in this device, it spins, the blue light flashes and then goes solid but my PC never recognizes the device in file explorer and when I look at disk manager the device is there but listed as dynamic, invalid.

- Answer If you have nothing valuable on that hard drive i would recommenced reformatting it completely and trying it again. If the problem persist try connecting it directly inside in a 2nd drive bay in the PC itself to see if it gives you the same problem.

- Answer I am not sure, I don't think it will work though. Just as an example, a external USB drive whether it is a portable or desktop model they are listed as a single drive, with that being said this device would require the usb dock driver to be installed, I have no way of testing this theory though since I have no access to a Airport Extreme.

- Answer Yes, you have to plug your HDD directly into one of the provided slots. As long as your Acer HDD is SATA it will work.

- Answer You can absolutely clone the drive over but you will have to download third party software to do so. Plenty of freeware out there!

- Answer It's just a harddrive bay, it doesn't have cloning hardware. You should still be able to clone using software though.

- Answer No, you will need data recovery software for that. As long as you are able to connect it to a computer that recognizes the drive. The docking station won't make a difference.

- Answer I have not tried this yet, but it should work on an Xbox. You would need to purchase a hard drive [sold seperately]. I would just buy an external hard drive.

- Answer You will need a 3rd party software to Clone Hard Drives. There are free drive cloning software. I use Macrium Reflect.
