- Answer Can't put in temperature by degrees. Only has 1 thru 10. I know the lowest setting is higher then the melt setting my nu wave has. It's a bit annoying that it doesn't use degrees for temp. Hard to figure out what temp each number is.

- Answer Are you sure pan is correct. Unit will start then shut off because pan is not correct. Use magnet to check pan.

QuestionCan you safely use this while sitting on top of granite kitchen counter, as a portable cook top, and not really permanently installed in a cutout hole on the counter. Also can I place and use it on top non functional gas stove, to space on my counter?

- Answer it's not advised. The unit needs air circulation, think microwave. I would rather have a more commercial grade unit so it might last longer.

- Answer I believe you are asking about the electrical current INPUT. The cooktop is rated at 120 volts AC, 15 amps TOTAL INPUT CURRENT. The OUTPUT of this inductive device would be in magnetic gauss. I’ve seen no info on this specification.

QuestionWhen cooktop is used as portable, do I need to install fan covers? Looks like cover in this case becomes 'leg support', not sure if it is a correct setup.

- Answer Covers came in box with item and they popped on really easy. I believe they are optional. I went ahead and put them on so they wouldnt get thrown away or lost.

QuestionWere the eggs in the picture intended to show how this cooktop could be used? The pans and eggs in the picture make this cooktop look large but to scale, the egg dimensions are about half what is real. Was this intentional? Can you cook regular eggs, too?

- Answer It is attached at the center of the back of the unit, about four feet long. Never use an extension cord on an appliance.

QuestionHi, no one including the 800 number can answer ;-( I have to purchase one pot and one pan - what's the largest and what's the smallest that will actually cook and NOT to be mistaken with "warm" - thank you whoever you are that has the answer ;-)

- Answer There was something in the literature that stated that anything over a 4 inch pan will work as long as it is induction capable. Not sure what you mean by cook as opposed to warm. The main thing is that the burners share the 1500 watts. That means that one side can cook on high power at the same time. With two burners going at once you will only get half power on both sides as they are sharing the 1500 watts.

- Answer It comes with a 110 plug already attached to it. Nothing else is required to use this stovetop.
