There was something in the literature that stated that anything over a 4 inch pan will work as long as it is induction capable. Not sure what you mean by cook as opposed to warm. The main thing is that the burners share the 1500 watts. That means that one side can cook on high power at the same time. With two burners going at once you will only get half power on both sides as they are sharing the 1500 watts.
