“Just bought washer and am curious why water from the faucet comes into washer then stops the intake after a minute or so; then after a pause water is delivered to the tub? Why is this?”

• It's part of the operating system for this machine. It probably does this to allow the water to absorb into the garments, so you get the correct water level inside the tub.

• The washer is leveling and uses the little bit of water for that reason
