• A:Answer Good question. In some form or fashion (weight?) the washer determines how much of a load is in the basket and then adds water accordingly. A YouTube review indicated she could get a higher water level of water by putting the clothes in the basket, adding in a gallon of water (soaking the clothes) and then starting the washer. You can also select low, med or high water level, but to me the water level is not as high as I would find in my 36 year old Kenmore washer. I looked at the next level up Insignia washer and found that one has a function where you can press a button or two and get 3 gallons of extra water added to the wash cycle.

Q: QuestionThe detergent's pull out drawer reads 'powder' detergent embossed into the handle. Insignia CS replies here that powder goes in the tub before loading(?). Where is liquid detergent dispensed? Not clear in user man. Thank you.

• A:Answer Here's what I know. There is a two week free return and exchange warranty by Best Buys. Insignia warranty is one year of replace or repair at their discretion. I call Insignia and told me there is no registration of the product, your receipt is your warranty keep it safe.
