• Filling manually as with a bucket would probably not work as the washer goes through the various wash/rinse cycles. But I had read somewhere where a person wanted to hook it up to a cold water faucet only and the answer was that it might work if the washer is set to cycle only on cold tap water. Hooking the drain hose to a shallow sink might work, but the amount of water coming out of the hose might make quite a mess.
