A:AnswerI have to press a button to make it use the fabric softener. Otherwise it doesn’t. So maybe it won’t unless you push that button. Not sure if this answers your question.
A:AnswerFabric softener is one of those things you should never use. That’s all it does is clock your unit over time and add a scent to your laundry. Use a good soap and stop using softener. There are YouTube walkthroughs on how to clean it out.
A:AnswerThe ACTUAL answer is NOT what INSIGNIA wrote. There should be ZERO water under the tub after a cycle completes. The solution was the water drain was a little too high. Since it was just a PVC pipe, I cut about 12" off to bring it down to about 36" from the floor and now there is NO WATER under the tub.

A:AnswerThe lid locks automatically when the machine starts running. If you need to open it at any time during a cycle, hit the start/pause button. The cycle pauses and the lid unlocks. To continue, close the lid and hit the start/pause button again.
