“Would this work with the original ps4 to also expand the amount of devices i can plug in? I have a mix-amp for my headset and a external hard drive both need to be plugged into the usb ports which leaves no port for me to charge my controller”

yes, I have it plugged into an OG PS4, although all external HDD must be plugged DIRECTLY into the PS4! every other device works with this HUB. I have 2 headset dongles and a charging cable hooked up and all works fine (no issues)!
