I’ve had several other versions and will work on some of my devices and not on others. This one goes into my laptop specifically and works perfectly. And the price was reasonable. What a surprise. I recommend it

Used for Work Laptop

This port is used with a tabletop ring light, external Logitech camera, and a mouse transceiver. And I still have one port open for another device if needed. The only minor complaint would be the short cable. Wish it was a bit longer to tuck away better.

Having a tablet, you don't get enough ports to completely function like a computer. This hub make that happen. I don't like that the cord is so short but it's manageable. I think this is a must have!

Velcro is the answer!

That being said, it’s very easy to attach the device to the computer with Velcro near the a USB power port on said computer.

Good Bang for Buck

Only draw back was some weird connection sequence I had to do to external HDD and SSD at the same time. Could be a windows thing but other than that gets the job done well. I would recommend insignia products all day. BESTBUY's own brand which makes it a cheaper product than other brands that just make you pay extra for their advertising bill.

The surface has just one USB 3.0 port. I tested out the latency buffer size i use for recording and real-time instrument playing. Identical speeds and buffer times to plugging straight into the Surface Pro, but using this 4 port attachment. Awesome! Reliable, FAST, convenient and inexpensive! Excellent solution for a one port problem, without ANY loss in performance! Amazing, really!

Does What I Need It To Do-Plasic Slightly Thin

The reason I only give it 4 stars is because in comparison with Belkin, Apple, HyperDrive,etc adapters the material feels a bit flimsy. Thats being a bit picky, but its noticable enough to me I thought I should mention it. However, it still does what i want it to.

- A:Answer I got a lenovo yoga 2 weeks ago and this hub. The hub was very slow. It didnt matter if it was plugged into the usb 3 port or the usb C with an adaptor. It was always very slow. I tried other models of hubs as well. This was the super great Yoga model with I7 and 16 gig ram all solid state etc. I could never get the ports to work as I wanted. I had to plug and unplug the usb devices in different order to even get the laptop to recognize them. In the end after much experimentation with other devices as well I decided that the Lenovo laptop was a piece of junk. For some reason Lenovo yoga and windows does not work well with certain usb devices. I returned the Lenovo yoga for a $3000 macbook pro and this usb hub is so amazingly fast. I know this is not always an affordable option but there is nothing wrong with the hub. Try it on another laptop to compare.
