I would first check to make sure there is power at the outlet. If you have power the blue light at the bottom right on the front of the freezer should come on when you plug it in and the freezer should start running. (It runs quietly) It should start getting cold inside the freezer within an hour. If you have power but the power light does not come on when you plug it in, then something about the freezer is not working right. Maybe a faulty cord, maybe faulty wiring connections inside, or something.
