• Have not had any issue! Have keept fresh green beans from my garden in this freezer for a year and they were just fine! Hope this helps....

• Chest freezers can keep products at a lower temperature without any temp rise when you open the lid. Up right freezer warms up quickly everybtime you open the door, so you have a greater temperature deference. This is why food keeps longer in a chest freezer.
