2: There is light on the front, lower, right corner. It's very visible. 1: I have no clue how long the food would stay cold. I don't have a thermometer in mine, but, I'd guess it would be at least a day. It's a great lid seal on ours, so if you don't open it, the food should stay frozen for at least a day.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is a blue light on the front of the freezer near the bottom so if you don't have a light, no power. I am not sure of the hold over rate to be honest but I would think it would be consistent with most any refrigerator freezer unit but is also probably contingent on location of device and time of year and as long as you don't open the lid, I would think that food would remain frozen for time period consistent with similar product.
