• This unit features manual defrost and it should be defrosted when the frost on the freezer walls is in excess of 0.2 to 0.4 inches thick.

• I would recommend defrosting every 6 months or so depending on the amount of ice build up it has. There is a drain plug on the bottom for easy drainage

• I've had mine running for a month with no need to defrost.
