i got the warranty. covers complete replacement if anything goes wrong. These freezers are not repairable, as i was told by 2 reputable appliance stores. The repairs are close to what you can get a new freezer for. They are all made in China and slapped with whatever company name that sells them. So, I was told by a reputable appliance store to buy one from whatever store has the best price. The warranty was $49. Make sure you examine the freezer at the store if you are picking it up as some are dented. We bought one as a gift and it was dented. had to be damaged at the factory as the packing box was not damaged. Good freezer for the money. Paid $125
