- Answer I keep my temperature knob set at the 6 o'clock position, which is zero degrees F. In the past I have set it at the 7 o'clock position, which is 15 below or so, but it has to work more to get down there, so I am just satisfied with it maintaining zero.

QuestionDo the hinges on the back of the freezer have to be secured tightly? The screws don't go all the way into the back of the freezer.

- Answer The door itself does not "lock" down and anyone with even the slightest bit of strength could open it from the inside. I have seen some of these freezers vacuum seal pretty tight when hot air gets trapped in an already cold freezer. Although they seal really tight and make it difficult to lift up, this wouldnt be a problem lifting up on the lid from the inside. More leverage space. I hope this helps with your question.

- Answer There is a dial ranked 1 to 7 with 7 being the coldest My advice would be to try placing your items ontop of another item or box and not directly touching any of the metal sides or bottom. Start at 1 and if that is too warm, proceed higher until you find the number temp you want. NOTE that it can take up to 30 minutes to change the temperature with each higher number

- Answer What do you mean when you say handle? I have used these freezers in both cold climates and hot climates. For obvious reasons, cold areas wont ruin or work down the components and you'll still have everything frozen inside. Hot temperatures vary. I've had these freezers in the sun and that's no good. The ice cream on the bottom was fine, but products closer to the top near the lid sometimes get warm. In a hot garage, I the freezer itself will work just fine. But same thing can happen with items closer to the top inside. Hope that helps with your question.

QuestionCan't find additional storage baskets. I have searched on the Internet for hours and cannot find any type of freezer storage basket that would help me organize the inside of this chest freezer. It only comes with one small basket! HELP!

- Answer I have a lot of these baskets. You're right, it only comes with 1, but it can fit 3 naturally and perfectly. I have more and would be willing to work something out with you.
