If you have a new model iPhone this cord will not connect to a new iPhone. You'll need the dongle that came with your iPhone to use between this cord and the iPhone. Plug the iPhone dongle into the phone and this cord into the dongle. My wife uses this cord to connect her car speakers to her iPhone.
