Can this be used in a metal building null

It may not work well or at all in a metal building. Outdoor antenna is needed .

I'm assuming you mean steel skin walls. Will only work if you place in a window

Metal is used as a Shielding medium for radio waves. However, You can stick this antenna in a window or outside of the metal building and run Coax into the Building for your TV.
